West Bethany FMC : Lead Pastor Position in a Country Free Methodist Church with a Growing Vision
A vibrant country church with a membership of 40-50 is prayerfully seeking the pastor God is calling to shepherd our congregation into the next season of ministry. Located geographically near three small rural towns, our church sits in the heart of an agricultural community. While many of our members are involved in farming and ranching, our congregation also includes professionals from a variety of fields. We are a multigenerational body united by a shared love for Christ and for one another.
We are seeking a pastor who possesses not only a clear passion and gift for preaching God’s Word, but also a genuine heart for pastoring and leading a flock. We desire a shepherd who:
● Faithfully proclaims Scripture with clarity and conviction
● Leads with humility, wisdom, and vision
● Loves people deeply and ministers personally
● Is passionate about and effective in growing a church
● Invests in discipleship and leadership development
Our church is in a stage of growth and transition. We believe God has positioned us for expansion and renewed outreach, and we are looking for someone who is energized by building relationships, equipping believers, and reaching the lost. Our surrounding area includes a significant Hispanic population, with some currently attending our church. We have a strong desire to intentionally reach and minister to this community with cultural sensitivity and gospel-centered love.
We also have several elderly members living in assisted care facilities. Faithful pastoral visitation, encouragement, and shepherding of these precious members is deeply important to us. Though we are a country church in a rural setting, we are mission-minded at heart. We actively support both local and global missions and seek a pastor who shares this passion—someone who sees beyond our walls and desires to mobilize the church to serve both our neighbors and the nations.
More than anything, we are praying for a pastor who loves people—who models Christ’s compassion, teaches that love faithfully from the pulpit, and lives it daily among the congregation. In addition, a spacious 6-bedroom 3-bath parsonage is located next door to the church.
If you feel called to shepherd a growing, mission-focused rural church community, we would love to hear from you.
“Feed my sheep.” – John 21:17
